Effective management of a scheme’s car parking facility is critical to the success of retail outlets. Many schemes are located in close proximity to other attractions such as high street retail outlets, train stations, entertainment / sport complexes and commercial premises. Without enforcement of a car park’s terms and conditions a retail car park can quickly become a free parking facility for the local area preventing genuine customers from visiting the schemes outlets. AEJ have many years of experience in adding value to a scheme’s car park by providing the following:
Enforcement
As a member of the BPA’s Approved Operator s Scheme, AEJ can offer enforcement through the issuing of Standard Charge Notices for vehicles abusing the car park’s terms & conditions. This is particularly effective when ensuring only legitimate use of disabled bays is being adhered to.
ANPR
Automatic Number Plate Recognition is quickly becoming the operator’s choice when a requirement for controlling limited waiting time and staff parking is identified. ANPR has a high reliability rating compared with that of manual enforcement in addition to a consistent output throughout the scheme’s operational hours. Staff parking, which can have a serious impact on the availability of parking spaces (a conservative estimate of the value of a typical retail parking space can be set at c£30,000 per annum), can easily be controlled by setting up a ‘White List’ for staff permitted to park on site. AEJ can offer a total ANPR solution (subject to survey) without any capital expenditure from landlords or agents.
Traffic Marshalling
AEJ have assisted in ensuring traffic flow is maintained within a scheme during peak trading periods and special events such as the opening of a major retail outlet on many occasions. AEJ can provide experienced personnel in traffic marshalling as a ‘one off’ or as part of a phased schedule such as Easter and Christmas.
Consultancy
In addition to car park enforcement, AEJ can provide a consultancy service for the procurement, installation and operation of parking equipment such as Pay and Display, Pay on Foot or permit control.
Bay & Road Lining
AEJ can offer a cost effective, high quality and flexible service for lining / re-lining of a sceme’s car parking facility.
Park Mark Accreditation
